Jo Daviess County: Kick Your Bad (Chainsaw) Habits

  • August 25, 2015
  • 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Jo Daviess County Extension Office

Registration

  • Only the first fifteen people will be admitted.

Registration is closed

IDNR Forester Jeff Harris will cover many of the bad habits that we all develop after several years of using a chainsaw, and then explain the proper and safest ways to adapt your behavior - both in handling the operation of your chainsaw and in keeping it running in the most efficient and safest way possible.  This is not a hands-on chainsaw safety class, rather it is intended for those who have been using a chainsaw off and on for a few years.  A brief indoor session will cover the safe operating and maintenance techniques and then at an outdoor session, Jeff will demonstrate the operational techniques.  There is no need to bring safety equipment or your chainsaw.

The Jo Daviess County Extension office is located at 204 N. Vine Street in Elizabeth, IL.

This event is free and open to the public.  However, we ask that you register so that we may contact you in case weather or other circumstances cause a schedule change.  Also, we ask that you register because there is a limit on how many people can be accommodated.  The group will be limited to the first 15 people who register by August 20th.

Registration will be handled by the Extension Office.  When their registration facility is established, a link will be posted here.
